A deity in the mythology of the Araras tribe of Native Brazilians, from the Xingu basin, Akuanduba supervised all human beings. Whenever there were excesses, Akuanduba, playing his flute, called everyone’s attention and brought them back to order. One day, a big fight tore the peace between the humans and not even Akuanduba could appease them. As punishment, humanity was thrown into the water. The survivors had to band together and learn, from scratch, how to continue life.

Gastronomic journalist, podcaster and communicator, has been writing about food for 20 years with an increasingly attentive eye on the socio-political-environmental impacts of the production chain. Founder of the website and podcast Vai Se Food, one of the largest in the country in the segment, judge on the reality show Top Chef Brasil and a speaker. The experience accumulated in these two decades of visits to producers, farms, restaurants and factories, in more than 30 countries, was translated into this motto: What we eat shapes the world.
Works as an advisor and consultant to the main institutions and companies in the food sector in Brazil. Experienced an immense transformation through food and decided to dive professionally into this universe after realising that the benefits went far beyond personal health. In 2018, founded Grupo Planta, a plant-based food business conglomerate, which operates in production, distribution, restaurants and delivery. The group has a portfolio of innovations that is a world reference at the forefront of the Plant-Based industry.
